Our commitment

Arimont Developments is committed to providing a website and services that people with disabilities can use. We work toward the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

Standard we follow

We design and build this website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which goes beyond the WCAG 2.0 Level AA that Ontario’s regulation requires for websites. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and we do not claim full conformance.

What we have built in

Our work includes:

• semantic page structure with one main heading per page and landmarks;
• a skip link and full keyboard operation of menus, dialogs and forms;
• visible focus indicators and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels;
• form fields with labels, instructions and specific error messages that do not rely on colour alone;
• text and interface colours checked for sufficient contrast;
• support for reduced-motion settings, text resizing and reflow on small screens;
• correct language settings for English (Canada) and French (Canada);
• alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

Some images on this website are decorative stock photographs. Content from third parties, such as linked websites, is outside our control. If we publish documents such as PDFs, we will provide an accessible version or format on request.

Accessible formats and communication supports

On request, we will provide information in an accessible format or with communication supports. We will do this in a timely manner, taking your accessibility needs into account, and at no greater cost than we charge others.

Customer service

We welcome people who use assistive devices, support persons and service animals when you contact or meet with us, and we will work with you to meet your needs.
